Prior to founding CultureGene Brett was the Managing Partner at a specialist London based Executive Search firm where he successfully completed CxO, VP and Director level searches for over 400 high-growth technology companies in the UK, US and across EMEA. Brett is the author of Culture Decks Decoded and Own Your Culture: How to Define, Embed and Manage your Company Culture and a contributor to Forbes and Entrepreneur.com.

Brett is an investor in Seedcamp funds I, II, III & IV and an investor in and advisor to a number of early stage start-ups.

Brett is currently interviewing Founders, CEOs and other senior executives of successful high-growth start-ups to understand how they defined, developed and implemented their company’s culture.

Laurel has extensive experience in Human Resources and Executive Search. Prior to founding Summit Staffing Solutions, Laurel was Recruitment Manager at The Siltek Group (a technology distribution company), where she spearheaded a new HR venture within the Group.Laurel holds an Industrial Psychology Honours degree and a PDHRM (Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management) both obtained through the University of Cape Town.

Sue is an experienced HR professional having worked in a combination of HR and Recruitment advisory roles within large, complex and fast-paced environments during her career. 

Her experience spans ProfessionalServices, Mining / Oil & Gas Construction, Information Technology, Automotive industry , Fintech, Banking andTelecommunications. A key part of Sue’s career includes the implementation of a large-scale culture development programme at Siltek Holdings which involved the merger of multiple businesses into one, creating the largest information technology distribution provider in the Southern hemisphere.

She holds a National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of People Management, SouthAfrica, and a Certificate in Strategic HR Management from the University of Cape Town Business School.
